The Floor & Décor Metairie LA project was a 71,438 square foot new big box retail store. The building’s foundation consisted of over 2,500 driven piles due to the finish floor elevation being 3.5 feet below sea level. The construction of the building was pre-cast panels and structural steel. This location was unique from other Floor & Décor stores as it has a mezzanine that houses the office package and public restrooms. Furthermore, the interior slab on grade was a structural slab placed on top of the driven piles. Lastly, due to the sea level elevation and the water table, the entire parking area was cast in place concrete in lieu of asphalt.

This morning, our team welcomed ECS for a Breakfast & Learn.
ECS provides geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, environmental consulting, and building science services that support projects from planning through construction.
Having worked with ECS on past projects, we appreciated the opportunity to reconnect and learn more about their capabilities. These sessions give our team time to ask questions, exchange knowledge, and strengthen relationships with the industry partners who help us deliver successful projects.

Project Update | Atelier Building 3
Atelier Building 3 continues to rise in Downtown Nexton.
Construction is advancing across multiple fronts as the project team makes significant progress on the second-floor concrete slab, stair tower and elevator shaft, below-grade waterproofing, and miscellaneous steel installation, including stairs and railings.
With the building’s structure continuing to take shape, each milestone represents another step forward as the team transitions into the next phase of construction—including exterior and interior framing, followed by roofing, interior MEP rough-ins, and installation of rooftop HVAC units.
This progress is the result of thoughtful planning, disciplined execution, and strong collaboration in the field. We appreciate the continued commitment of our project team and trade partners as we maintain momentum and move Atelier Building 3 closer to completion.

Today, we remember.
We honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, the courage of the first responders and everyday Americans who answered the call, and the countless families and communities forever changed by that day.
Twenty-five years later, we remember their sacrifice, their courage, and the unity that brought our nation together.
We will never forget.
